  • I will never be dry or warm ever again.
  • Globe to Globe is fantastic. I was charmed by Pericles (Greek), loved the energy of Troilus & Cressida (Maori) and was thoroughly entertained by Twelfth Night (Hindi).
  • Travelling Light is actually better on a second viewing, but I still have issues with it. Lauren O’Neill and Damien Molony act rings around Antony Sher (which is not what should be happening in that scenario), and the text.
  • The Conquest of the South Pole is brilliant, the more I think about it the more I love it. Sam Crane climbing onto a table has never been more arousing and heartbreaking tbh. Andrew Gower is the master of meringue eating and I’ve never felt more exhilarated and devastated by people counting to 179 and almost a half.
  • All I want from the next series of Being Human is a long flashback episode with young Leo (actor’s name?) because I think Hal’s prequel is my favourite thing of all of season 4.
  • Noises Off is funny, the second act even moreso because I’ve SMed shows that have gone like that but not as funny as I think everyone else thinks it is, I’m really not a huge Farce fan I think; however Lucy Briggs-Owen is basically my favourite thing in the world at the moment
  • NT Archive is incredible, the prompt script for Stuff Happens was actually easy to follow which is comforting. I’m not SMing all wrong!

Went to see The Globe Mysteries and Much Ado About Nothing at the Globe for their last performances my feelings are thus:

  • Philip Cumbus congratulations on your face, your Yorkshire accent and your ridiculous dancing
  • Charles Edwards well played you have replaced Branagh as my numero uno Benedick
  • Naomi Frederick, thank you for making the part your own and for being so adorable after the speeches
  • Globe musicians you are fucking epic, never stop
  • Globe casting directors, well played with this entire season
  • Globe costume department, thank you for Charles Edwards’ entire wardrobe and for putting Phil Cumbus in leather, my mother and I appreciate the thought
  • Bring on next season!

The director told me on Twitter that Eve would definitely be back for the last night.

This is cruel. First Eve Best is leaving Much Ado about Nothing, then Naomi Frederick is cast but only for a week, a week I can’t get to see!!!
